Health and Safety Management System

Based on the consensus of the company and all its employees on the importance of safety, LFC continues to improve its safety value by applying cast-iron safety standards based on our global-level on-site safety management practices. We have acquired the ISO 45001 health & safety management system certification, and operate our safety management system in accordance with international standards. Moreover, in order to prevent serious accidents and thus build a safe workplace, we have established a robust organization by appointing a Chief Safety Officer (CSO) directly under the CEO, creating SH&E Management Team under the CSO, and launching the Safety and Health Management Committee.

Health and Safety Management Implementation System

Internalization of Safety Culture

Inspection of Current Status to Prevent Serious Accidents
In order to effectively respond to the Serious Accident Punishment Act and inspect our system designed to prevent serious accidents, we have assessed the status of our response to serious accidents in conjunction with a law firm and made continuous improvements regarding 21 tasks that we have identified through the assessment as part of our effort to achieve accident/disaster-free business operations.
Conducting Safety Education
To improve our employees’ safety awareness and inspire them to make voluntary safety management efforts, we conduct safety training every month by going into our monthly safety themes while constantly seeking to enhance our safety-first culture by sharing information on various topics such as occupational accidents, health, and healthcare with our employees through our various internal communication channels.
Safety Golden Rules
We follow the Safety Golden Rules, which are composed of eight safety principles set by our employees rather than management in a bid to establish a voluntary culture of safety that promotes preemptive safety management practices.
Safety Management Centered Around Behavior Between Tasks
By changing the focus of the attention of our safety work management from work preparation (unsafe state) to in-work behavior (unsafe behavior), we solve the problem of insufficient follow-up management of existing on-site work permits while conducting safety inspections during work to prevent accidents and improve the level of work management.
